Here's the place where we can talk about RL, or OOC talk about the game. If you have character creation or World building questions, let me know here!

Oh, Pass the potato chips please!

Still thinking. I will roll some scores and see how bad they are then think some more on it.

Draft sheet is up. Would like to fix her height/weight (maybe 5'10" and 160 lbs makes more sense) and need to finish her inventory and background. Will need some ideas on where she is from and currently is as well as Gods you are using so I can pick an appropriate one. I am sort of envisioning her as a cross between a Celt warrior and Norse shield maiden.

Random is as random does. I think in certain cases it makes more sense to 'fudge' the dice a little, perhaps, if the results don't make sense. 6'2" and 125 lbs is difficult to justify in this case.
Evisath has had it's fair share of racial migration and tragedy. Once I write up a synopsis of it's history, I'm sure you will find there is room for such a character as Conwenna in the relatively warmer lands she finds herself in. I think I know where you're going with the kit question. I will look in to it.

character rolls - I always wanted to have a Hopeless Character :) Looks like a sub-standard Fighter type for me!

Ability Scores [4d6c1] = 10 / [4d6c1] = 9 / [4d6c1] = 4 / [4d61] = 97
Ability Scores [4d6c1] = 9 / [4d6c1] = 10 / [4d6c1] = 12 / [4d6c1] = 10

Str: 12
Int: 10
Wis: 9
Dex; 10
Con: 10
Cha: 9

Money: 140
Starting Money [1d4] = 2 x10+120 = 140

Raven, that looks like a set I would roll. I was pleased I rolled as well as I did.

Sometimes a bit of fudging. especially with stats that only impact the flavor of the game make sense. I am usually opposed to fudging abilities unless its truly terrible or the rules are set down before rolling.

How does 5'10" tall and 150 lbs sound?

I'm cruel, but I'm not a complete sadist. What did you do to offend the dice gods? I'll come up with some solution for your dilemma.

It's all good! The dice gods have spoken. The height and weight Rex provided was great - gave me a good character idea. He'll be a measly shit fighter with a big chip on his shoulder! :)

What could go wrong? ;)

Well, it's your choice. I would be remiss, however, to not allow another opportunity at a better roll. In all fairness, the dice are supposed to be aids at role play, not another hindrance. There will be many of those as the game progresses. I want (and I'm sure most of you want) mighty heroes who can make a difference in the world. "Superman" wouldn't be a realistic expectation, but having at least a stat that shows prowess would be nice.
That being said, there will be opportunities in the future for ability stats to improve, but it will take time.

In the mean time, I will edit the Character Creation thread to accommodate miserly dice gods.

I am thinking of going rogue....perhaps even playing one.

Although with all the fighters around maybe a cleric would be more appropriate. And looks like Raven may need the healing.

I rolled this in the dice roller:

Stats: STR:16, INT:10, WIS:17, DEX:13, CON:14, CHR:16

Exchanging the 17 - Wisdom for the 16 - Charisma, I can get a Paladin character.

I will post a sheet in the forum when complete.

Edited to include starting cash.
Harker starting gold +120gp [1d4x10] = 1x10 = 10

130gp

Fantastic!

This is going to work really well with what I have planned.
We could use some magic wielding characters though...

I'm working on 3 maps right now, so if I'm a little quiet, that's why.

I've decided to go with a cleric. Its my first time using the dice roller so if I messed it up please let me know. I'm still working on the character sheet but her name is Traesta.

How deep do you want me to play a Paladin?

By the book, it lists stuff such as not adventuring with non-good characters but that obviously affects other players choices to play a neutral rogue or druid for example.

I more prefer to keep Harker's ambition for paladin seperate from others, dependent upon his own personal devotions and tithing, etc. (Not withstanding he wouldn't turn a blind eye to someone slaying a yielded captive or loose fingers dipping into the offering plate at church).

According to page 28 of the players handbook:
A paladin may employ only lawful good henchmen (or those who act in such a manner when alignment is unknown). A paladin will cooperate with characters of other alignments only as long as they behave themselves. He will try to show them the proper way to live through both word and deed. The paladin realizes that most people simply cannot maintain his high standards. Even thieves can be tolerated, provided they are not evil and are sincerely trying to reform. He will not abide the company of those who commit evil or unrighteous acts. Stealth in the cause of good is acceptable, though only as a last resort.
I haven't looked further into The Complete Fighters Handbook for further stipulations, but I think this is good enough for now.
Besides, I'm getting curious about the interaction between the 3 characters in development. I have some ideas for your character. I'll direct message you shortly.
