Jasmine should really get bonus XP for having such epically crappy luck lately. But I know her time is coming. The dice gods will smile soon!

Hope you didn't mind me posting a second action. But I thought with the first zombie down and Gil jumping up on the roof that there would be time to act before either the guards rallied or more undead appeared.

Might be tonight before I get us a post up. Been working like a dog today. Taking a quick late lunch and back out to do it again!

I wonder if you can just describe the street scene we are in. Is the hovel a detached building or attached to others. How far away are adjacent buildings. So could I jump from one roof to another or easily get onto a higher roof. What buildings overlook us.

I am figuring too that though we are new to Nuz Edrak we are familiar with night time rituals. The dead rising happened yesterday and the day before that and so forth.

So what is our general knowledge. I am starting at ' the dead awake at dusk and prowl the streets before leaving the city on their pilgrimage to the Bone Caller.'

You've about nailed it.

Some houses are joined, some detached. You could jump to another rooftop easily enough now. Farther on the streets may widen and houses become more widely spaced. Depending on where you travel.

At present, you're surroundes by hovels. This is obviously not an affluent part of town. Three streets to the north, you see some two-storey buildings. Beyond that a few taller buildings appear.

You'll have to creep across a few roofs to gradually uncover more, and more specific, info.

Was there a way Jasmine or Gil might have broken off the ladder before closing the hatch?

Using her warhammer if she has to. It could save us

It was just holes built into the walls. You can always take a swipe to try, but you don't think it'll do much.

Jasmine sprints to the 50 yard roof as Gil goes long with the hobbit! She catches and scores!

Or we string up rope for him to tightrope across. :)

Pardon me for missing our update yesterday.

I fell asleep in my recliner, bolt upright with my clothes on. It was an incredibly busy day.

Let me see what I can do.

You are standing on a roughly thirty foot square rooftop. The roof has a two-foot kneewall all around that could provide cover from missile fire and a house directly on either side. Also one to the rear. There are eight undead in the immediate vicinity...for now. Six are climbing the wall toward you and two are after the guards atop the Unicorn. Something or someone else approaches from behind you.

If you drop below 0 hp during the combat, let me know. I'm trusting everyone to monitor their own hp.
Can these zombies actually climb walls like a thief?

I assume one or more of the houses to each side, or in rear, is within leaping distance as that is where we came from to get here.

Is Alec able to hear any of this from the Unicorn. If so he will move to the roof to assist the guards.

They climb walls like four-limbed zombies. 😅 The roofs are close enough to maneuver as you need to.

And Alec was last in his room with Kazak knocking at the door wanting to talk to him, but I think that post was missed in the shuffle. We'll say yes. They hear the goings on above. Next round they can make their way up.

Does halfling or elf infravision see hidden things around us?
