Portal Holdings
While not a formal banking system (as accountability is difficult to enforce), a reputable organization known only as "Portal Holdings" is willing to hold excess coins and other treasures for those seeking adventure in Undermountain.

The organization has the full support of the city watch in Waterdeep.

The organization neither charges nor issues any interest for any holdings.

A scribe under the employ of the holding organization will always be present while the Yawning Portal is open for business. These scribes will journal all transactions; including dates, amounts, and depositor descriptions each time a deposit is made. In exchange, the depositor will receive a small, numbered writ bearing the ensignia of the holding organization linking them to their deposits.

Writs are non-transferrable.
