Bonnie
Bonnie keeps true to her word and remains silent, assuming phanaton involvement. Her eyes do widen when Chauncey suggests the possibility of Grue, but shakes her head. It's much too bright around for that.
She stays a bit away from the others, but not so far as to have a chance that any noise would be noticed. Let's say 6 feet.

Chauncey warns everyone what they could be up against as he and Mr. Wrenly argue and look up into the treetops.
Suddenly, Wes's old friend Chwee glides down from overhead, followed by 6 other phanaton who land 3 in front of the group and 3 behind. Chwee looks into Wes's eyes, chattering in his strange jungle language. The other phanaton remain silent, but sniff the air around them instinctually.

Wes smiles when he sees Chwee. Then he turns and says to the others "This could get awkward if they ask about you-know-who. What's our explanation?"
Turning back to Chwee, Wes shows his empty hands and gives Chwee an few seconds to hopefully realize that he's going to cast a spell. With that, he begins to cast Speak With Animals. Once the spell is in effect, Wes greets the Phanaton. "Hello Chwee! It's good to see you again. What would you like to talk about?"

Despite Chauncey's overexaggerated discovery, Chwee continues to chatter and squeak to Wes in his native tongue.
The phanaton captain reaches into a pouch on his leather harness, causing even more tension for the groups fighters. Pulling out a fist sized, perfectly round sphere of stone the color of deep sea green, Chwee holds it out towards the group for everyone to see. Clearing his throat, he almost impresses with an attempt at your common tongue. "A gifff....from phan-ton to franny ooman peehole."

Chauncey drops all pretense and leans forward, suddenly hyper-attentive, at the production of the "round stone." He remains standing where he is, however, and does not approach Chwee or his compatriots any closer.

Luther over-acts his appreciation for the gift, knowing that the Phanaton will understand his actions better than his words. He smiles broadly at the sphere, and gives out an appreicative Oooh! Very Nice!
The effect is as if he were dealing with a 5-year-old who just showed him their favorite 'treasure'.

You can almost hear her eye rolls as Wes translates the conversation, but she keeps her mouth shut. She doesn't move, but the irony of her power over the situation is not lost on her.
Bonnie nods as Chwee presents an orb. She thinks to herself: At least I won't have to piss people off to get that one. She is a little disappointed that others now know about the phanaton orb, but quickly sees the greater good.

Each group member reacts to the sight of the green activation sphere in their own way, some more amusing than others. Wes takes the sphere from Chwee, determining that it is indeed the same size, weight, and feel as the one Chauncey used to activate the Fire Obelisk they just left. He can almost feel the magic from the stone pulsating in his hand.
The six phanaton guards continue sniffing the air, slowly edging closer and closer towards Bonnie. Chwee’s eyes light up as he continues to chatter with Wes.
