Please note: spells per day cannot be accumulated - any spell Ox didn't use today, can't be carried over 'til tomorrow (if Ox is divided between identifying scrolls or conserving spells, I mean). Tomorrow, of course, he can use up to two spells, all over again.

(OOC giveaway: after completing The Pits of Wob last year, GW, Dram and Pyro all got a link to a PDF copy of the module. In the module text, the 'bug' scroll found in Eddy Ragfist's sack that Korin nicked, is clearly described! )

So Ox will need 2 days back here as I did not have Read Magic studied for today. If the party does not wish to stay 2 days we should just sell scroll and move out.

Norbold says, "I'm fine with waiting two days before we set out, besides whatever they were, may be more relaxed on their guard by then."

Brynn reacts just as Ox is leaving the store. "You had another scroll ? Lemme have a look at it. We have seen a few scrolls pass through here before and, if this one indeed used to belong to Eddy, I might just have an idea of what it is....and might even offer you something for it!" she smiles, flashing beautifully white teeth.

Korin puts the breaks on "Whats that then Brynn another offer eh?" the dwarf gives a toothy smile "Alright hold up lads lets go back in fer a sec."

Ox- Turns around and hands Korin back his scroll. If the price is worth more than the scrolls. Take the deal.

Unfolding the scroll, Brynn makes a shrug like she recognizes it: "You say Eddie sold it to you ? Well, he was in here a year ago and showed me exactly the same scroll, or one very similar, with this insect pattern along the edges and all.
He said it's a 'Speak with arachnids' scroll - whatever the heck that is. He tried to pull a story it was made by some old wizard who lived in a mountain, as a one off experiment. Sweet-talking old Eddie...I didn't want to buy it off him then and won't today either. But have fun with it - it probably works fine!"

Then turns to Melkior: "in any case, if any nasty 'Arachnid' came along, I'm sure our dashing knight here would know how to deal with it"(fluttering of eye lashes)

Ox- Takes back the scroll. Spiders ya say. I will give it back to Korin. Ya wont see me charming any spiders.

Korin puts up a hand blocking the scroll and passes on taking the scroll back "I aint doin nothin ta no spiders aside from killin em."

Ox- Not wanting to take the scroll. It shall stay here then. As I am 1/2 Drow it is not good for me to be charming spiders. The Drow goddess would have me hunted.

Norbold says, "Ok, just leave the bug scroll here then. If we ever come across a friendly spider, we need to talk to, we can run back here for the scroll."

Not wishing to handle the "Speak with arachnids" scroll, the adventuring friends leave it with Brynn.

Brynn: "Anything else I can do for you lads ? If not....good bye and good luck."

Korin "Nah consider the spider scroll yers free of charge Brynn."

Ox- (...) we stop and rest for the evening.

Korin shrugs "(...) gotta drop off Jacob's pack ere

The three friends each go about their final pre-adventure errands and then retire to their respective abode for the night.
