Tella switches her attention to the orcs instead of the dog thing. She will attempt to get as many as possible.

Your character wasn't with the group when they first met the fire orcs. They came with the red dragon last time, so at least some of their number serves the dragon.

Also, could you give me quick d100 and d20 rolls?

Round 1- Fire Orcs

The two headed hound rushes forward slobbering and Thorax rises up to meet it. His battle axe false twice and blood flows. The dog drops in a dead heap.

The fire orcs were reloading when Vek began to chare them, however, the hallway fills with brilliant light just before he reaches the orcs. A snowball smashes in the face of one of the orcs.. Then lightning sears across the hallway. Blinding arcs of pure light smote the orcs to ruin. Blinking Vek tries to gather his sight back, but when he does, when you all do, the orcs are all lying in a pile smoking and twitching. A cloud of smelly soot overwhelms the noses of your group. The orcs are dead.

In seconds an entire orc hunting party lies in ruin. If vek had been only one step closer to the orcs he might have been fried as well!

Thorax chuckles "At least searching them will be easy, Ganon, sift the ashes."

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:

Without missing a beat, Vek lights a torch on a sizzling goblin carcass and advances though the massacred humanoids to stand watch at the end of their ranks against anything that might have been following them.

Ganon puts away his short sword. "Waukeen's coins! That was fast." Ganon moves forward to the first dead body and starts to search it. Then he proceeds in order to the next and so on.

Roseheart nods appreciatively at Tella "Nice. I'm eager to experiment with the fire spell you were kind enough to share with me..."

Cormack stands there, his battle axe at the ready for a more moment before he lets the head of the axe fall to the floor. "Well that was mighty anti-climatic," he says sarcastically.

Sorry about that, I woke up a bit upset this morning... I sure feel better now though. She will say as she nudges some random skull with her foot. Tella will check the remains a bit also.

You begin to search the corpses and have colected 55gp and 10sp when you start to hear noises further down the tunnel. More enemies approach!!!

*you are only about one third of the way through searching the orcs for loot*

Thorax pulls his crossbow and readies a shot. "If need be can we blow the ash at them?"

Ganon:

Ganon stops what he is doing and scurries to the back of the party. This time he unslings his short bow and nocks and arrow.

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:

If there's enough illumination without it, Vek will douse his torch.

He'll stand his ground and ready his sword and shield for what's coming.
"If you're casting again, tell me first so I'm not caught in it," he rasps over his shoulder, not unkindly.

Cormack picks his axe up. "Hopefully this time it will not be over so quickly."

Roseheart glares at Vek and seems to almost pout at the thought of not getting to try out his new fire spell... He'll stand his ground and wait to see what approaches...

From down the away the noises increase and then torchlight flickers from around the bend roughly 30-40 feet away.

Seconds later another war party of orcs bursts from the darkness. They are all carrying torches and some have flasks of some kind of liquid in their hands. These orcs are slavering and wild eyed as if intoxicated on something...



*neither group is surprised, I'll go directly into round 1. Could the first of you to describe actions also roll initiative? *

Ganon:

Lets loose the nocked arrow in his short bow and quickly sets and releases another.

Thorax covers with his shield as vest he can and quickly shoots off his crossbow towards the center of the group.

"Now is your chance Roseheart." says the boar holding instead of charging.
