Smoglea "That was close." he says a bit exhausted from the troll battle.

Clay uses mud and mosses to pack into Clint's wounds, covering the rest with large leaves and nettles. With a few words, Beith's power knits the large man together again. Thanks for trying to talk the trolls down. I'm glad they didn't kill you.

Cure Light Wounds [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5
Cure Light Wounds [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7

The next morning the badger creates little, clay marbles and closes his paw around them. When he opens his paw again, he is disappointed that only one has turned into a berry. Shrugging, he hands it to Clint. This will feed you for the day and help heal you more.

Goodberry [1d10] = 1

As they make their way northwest, Clay uses his dousing crystal to search for food. Again, he sense Maurice out in front to alert the party to possible threats.

13HP for Clint (12 from CLW, 1 from the berry), and Clint doesn't need to use any rations today.
-2.5 rations, 2 flasks of oil, and 2 torches deducted.

Bianca

Marvels at the sheer size of the trolls before they are burned. She moves aside to clean the gore off of her sword before sheathing it and saying a prayer to Beith about the Trolls' spirits find peace and new life. He does her part to help make camp that night, using her once daily cantrip to make a campfire. She spends some time communing with nature and Beith, memorizing her spells for the following day, consuming the honey ration from her pack. She also tends to Daystar and ask if anyone would like her to carry their packs for the remainder of the trip.

Ration deducted.

Any treasure on the trolls? Maybe we ought to find their lair.

OOC: Willow would use her remaining CLW spell on anyone injured before they rest that night, as well.

Cure Light Wounds [1d6] = 3
"They're trolls... surely we can find their lair by retracing their steps..." Willow says, at the suggestion of finding their lair. She begins looking for signs of their passing where they first spotted them the previous day.

Smoglea looks confused "Why would we want to go to a trolls lair?"

It's unfortunate the trolls weren't feeling talkative. We could have used them as guides, or even just gotten information. In their... absence... their lair might hold clues about else might be out here waiting for us. Old maps, or even just bones. Never can tell.

Clint is fully healed by Clay and Willow's ministrations.

With Clarabelle's skillful guidance as a ranger, Morr's nose, and the fresh stank of pungent troll-mucus, there is little difficulty in tracing the trolls back over the course of their previous day's activities. You wind around this section of the forest for half the morning before finding a tucked sinkhole cavern near a pond where they apparently retreated for safety.

Undeterred by the retch-worthy stink of a troll-den, you search the rags, the nooks and crannies, and pull out the items of value which the trolls secreted there as their preciouses.

700 ellurian-minted gold coins
1000 ellurian-minted copper coins
a large square-cut ruby
a large round-cut diamond
a large square-cut ruby
a large square-cut sapphire
a platinum chalice set with blood-colored rubies
a pair of amber cufflinks
an amber cloakpin
a small lockbox with a broken lid which contains four dusty, old potions

I forget. Can we tell what the potions do if we take a small sample? Or do we need to hire a professional?

Clay shrugs at the cloak pin and cufflinks, thinking, A different life, not that I'd've had any need in that life, anyhow. As the others pack up the valuables, he sifts through the detritus looking for information on the animals they ate: Were they hybrids? How dangerous were they? Any other humanoid bones? Hey. Is there any reason to think there's secret chambers here? Anyone any good at finding secret doors?

Smoglea hearing something about secret doors "Uh well I've never really looked for them before but I can always try."

Clint is game for almost anything. He dutifully looks for secret doors.

After several minutes of staring at the walls, a question occurs to him. "Hey—what do secret doors look like?"

Bianca

The elf smiles at all the loose treasure they find and quickly goes to her backpack hanging off Daystar's packsaddle. She takes out a sack and holds it out. Trick or Treat. she says smiling. "We can put that here and sort it later if that is okay with everyone.

Willow shrugs and begins handing sacks of coins over to Bianca, content with not having to carry any of it.

Bianca, Clay, and Clint are covered for rations. Everyone else, please subtract.

Three large sacks are loaded onto Daystar, adding 170lbs to her load. The now-laden mule sets the new pace for the group as you prepare to set out again in the forest.

Anything else before you begin moving again?

Just looking for the secret doors. :P

I don't think we want to take the copper, do we? That's a lot of weight for little gain.

It appears that Clint's observation might be the most salient. There are no doors of any kind in this sinkhole hovel, and despite your diligent searching, no "secret" doors, either.

Even Clint could probably figure out that carrying around 100 lbs of coins worth 10 gp isn't a worthwhile exercise.
