No, I guess not. Quinn mutters, "Pineapples! What a mess!"

"Anything to see here?"
he asks the others who are searching around.

Richard

Richard will gesture to Miranda from his spot by the door. "Might be worth picking up some of the nastier looking shards, in case we want to set up an impromptu trap or something, if you have anything to safely carry them in."

Miranda stared at Richard quizzically. She stroked her chin as she pondered for a moment. She snapped her fingers.

"Yes, I have just the thing."

She removed her shoulder pack and dropped onto the stone floor. She crouched and dug into the bag. A few seconds later, she pulled out a 10-inch leather sack with a drawstring.

She explored the room, picking up the sharpest and largest glass shard she could find. The search took about five minutes.

"I can make something useful out of this," she said, shaking the bag. The glass shards clinked inside.

"I think we've seen all there is to see in this room."

Forgot to evaluate Gurkidd's examination of the far off walls: You did not find anything out of the ordinary.

Richard

Richard shakes his head. "Man, a whole lot of nothing."

He puts a hand against his chest, where the skeleton skewered him yesterday. "Maybe that's not such a bad thing, come to think of it. Ah, well, let's move on."

Richard will gesture for Miranda to accompany him in the front. He will lead the way to the entrance to room 5 (where the skeletons were), and then carefully lead the way north, tap-tapping at the floor and walls with his polearm. "Keep a close eye on the ceiling, Miranda. I don't want anything getting the drop on us. Har har."

Quinn falls into the middle of the march. He checks the torch he is carrying, estimating how much longer it has to go before it burns down. He wants to use it to light the next torch before it goes out. He is also keeping his eyes and ears open listening for sounds ahead *and* behind, down *and* up!

Gurkidd

Falls in behind Quinn and follows the rest of the party back to the Skeleton room.

The party doubled-backed north, passed the skeleton into a section of
hallways. The party slowed as they approached a fork in the way: About
40 feet to the west there is a north-facing door; 20 feet to the north,
the wall split to more darkness to the west and a west-facing door to
the east.

Where do you go?

Richard

Richard will take a moment to crouch at the intersection and study the rough stone floor. He speaks in a low voice. "Quinn bring the torch a bit closer to the ground for a moment. Let's see if there's any footprints or other hints of living things. Or unliving."

Quinn does as he's asked, keeping an eye on the torch. He is planning to light another before this one burns out.
"Good idea to look for tracks." Quinn whispers to Richard as he squats and holds the torch forward to shine it on the ground at an angle to reveal anything that left marks behind on the dusty floor.

OOC: It is a dusty floor, right? If it's smooth and clean, that's a bad sign. :)

Gurkidd

Keeps a watch behind the party as the vanguard check for tracks at the intersection.

Who, exactly, is inspecting the floor for footprints?

Richard looking for footprints. Quinn is holding the torch low so he can better see them. Quinn is just observing whether the floor is dusty or not dusty, he'll draw his own conclusions from dusty/not dusty.

Richard crouched, leaning his head close to the floor. It was slightly dusty, but through the flickering of the torchlight, Richard could see faint impressions of footprints. He leaned even closer and saw, among the impressions, a set of footprints smaller than the rest, heading north.

Richard

Richard stood, polearm at the ready. He speaks in a low voice. "Small footprints heading north. Could be our guy."

He will cautiously lead the way north, quietly testing the ground and walls in front of him with his polearm as he goes.

The party headed north -- (about 20 feet) -- arriving at a bend in the hallway that turned west.

To the east is a locked door. Twenty feet to the west is a south-facing door.

The hallway continued for a little past that.

Richard

Richard will check the floor again, hunting for any other small footprints, and a hint of the direction they went.

"Could be." agrees Quinn as he rejoins the line in the middle with the torch.

From Nemesis' description, I think the door is facing the wrong direction. He said "south-facing", although facing north-facing, like you have it, makes more sense.

Clarification, please.
