Shade moves back down the hall to the corner after informing the others of the hall. Slips across to the corner and peeks out around it. Looking down the hall to the east.

Shade:
Peeking down the eastern hall, you spy two ghoulish figures hunched over a small group of humanoids. You hear the wet smack of their lips as they run their long wicked claws down the unmoving bodies. You see their long tongues flicker as they savor the moment before feeding on their prey. But a quick glance and you see one of the bodies is not dead. It is a human and with eyes full of fear you see him looking up above your shoulder which is pressed against the stone of the hallway. Tearing your eyes from the grisly scene in front of you, you lift your eyes towards the ceiling. Your eyes meet with the dead eyes of another ghoul clutching the edges of the hall. With a cackling laugh it jumps down from its perch, landing directly in front of you.

Surprise Check: [1d10] = 8 You are NOT surprised.

Initiative for JUST Shade.

Is Tilthig aware of anything? He is only surprised on a 1 just in case.

Shade lets loose the arrow he has knocked.

[1d20+2] = 1+2 = 3

ATTACK. THEY NEED HELP, NOW.

That is a hard miss. For first arrow. Shoulder the bow. And pull the swords next round.

Jardin hears the shout and says "let's go!" and moves down the hall to where Shade was headed.

Tilthig hears the shout as well and moves to help as well.

Quickly unsheathing his short sword, he takes a deep breath and prepares himself for the ensuing battle.

As he runs, he activates his Blur ability.

Hex will scamper back out of the way of the fighters, but draw his daggers in case he needs to defend himself.

The first ghoul swings it's fetid claws at Shade as if protecting it's prize; missing with both.

Ghoul1: Claw [1d20] = 7 Damage [1d3] = 1 Claw [1d20] = 4 Damage [1d3] = 1

The second ghoul drops from the corner of the wall slashing Shade with one of its claws and biting him as well (3 & 3 for 6 damage; make a save vs. paralyzation)

Ghoul2: Claw [1d20] = 15 Damage [1d3] = 3 Claw [1d20] = 11 Damage [1d3] = 1
Ghoul2: Bite [1d20] = 19 Damage [1d6] = 3

Initiative for all! except Hex whom I already have at 6.

Speed of X Bow is 5 so that makes a 6 Initiative.

Tilthig takes aim and tries to shoot at Ghoul1 with a magical +1 quarrel

Crossbow +1 shot on Ghoul1 [1d20] = 10

Hits AC 6

If actually hits :

Damage [1d4+1] = 4+1 = 5
