Sparrow clears his throat, looking rather embarrassed.

Sorry bout that miss. Apparently I can't open my diaphragm up enough when I'm bent over in these damnable tunnels.

Of course we will release you. All of you. In fact, it might be best if we escorted you all safely back to town as well.

The ranger stands proud, well.......squats proudly as he realizes that he has just saved his first damsel in distress.

Fear not Bophre, you will be free faster than you can say dead kobold.

He looks at her shackles and then to Ciar.......and then back to her shackles. He hopes the little thief lock picker comes to his rescue before he has to try singing again.

Fulp will examine the various corpses (minus the rats) for keys and/or anything else of value.

While doing so he will call out to Sylvan.
I could use another hit off that thing, friend. those rats have a taste for my blood, I'm afraid to admit.

Fulp moves to inspect the body of Kassal while Ciar begins searching the fallen kobolds. Just as Sparrow calls upon the halfling for his lock-picking services, Ciar produces a key off one of the kobold jailers, which works to unlock the manacles. The three slaves, rubbing their aching and bleeding wrists, thank the group for their release, and are clearly in a rush to return back to town.

"Let's get these people back to the safety of town. I imagine any remaining kobolds are going to be waiting for us when we return, but we need to rest anyway..." Ciar offers.

Fulp grabs a few of the things off kassal's body he believes might be of use in the future.
Guys, anyone need a wineskin or flint, whetstone and such? He also had that vile slime in a bottle. Anyone want it? or should I leave it here. And he had another vial. Anyone know what he might have had in that?
Lets just get out of here. I feel I needs a few days rest myself.

Sylvan obliges Fulp with a tap of the healing wand.

Cure light wounds [1d8] = 8 on Fulp

The druid is distraught at Kassel's demise. "Yes, let's get back. Our gnomish friend deserves a decent resting place, and these slaves won't make our lives easier down here."

He searches with the others then retraces steps with the others to the surface.

On the way home, he will converse with the slaves, asking them what their tasks were, if they knew anything of the kobold plans, etc.

Ciar casually checks Kassal's belongings...

As Ciar sorts through Kassal's gear, he mentions,"I've taken a few hits and fell down a pit today... If we want to save the wand for emergencies, I can wait until tomorrow for some healing mumbo jumbo."

Sparrow helps the prisoners in any way he can, offering them water and all of his fresh rations.

I prefer to travel light so I don't want any of the gnomes possessions. The other potion might be of a healing nature, but I'm certainly no expert.

I will offer to carry Kassel back to the town with us so he can be properly buried. I cant stand the idea of him being left here to be eaten by these dog faced vermin.

"I'll carry his pack and the gear Fulp didn't already lift. If anyone needs an extra pack in the future, it might come in handy."

Before they head out, Ciar poses a question to the captives,"So you lot have been here a while; long enough to maybe have a good count of how many kobolds there are? Or heard something about their plan?"

The group lead the newly freed slaves out of the kobold lair, with Grim and Sparrow pairing up to carry the corpse of their fallen gnomish companion. They quickly and safely find their way back to Old Quarry Road which will lead them directly back into town.

Moving back here: V. Town of Belhaim.
