10-4.
Morik before fully engaging in the combat will finish off the potion he knows heals his wounds.

Morik pauses to drink his remaining potion of healing (4 HP healed.)

The acrobatic thief moves a few feet onto the left plank.

Better than nothing. ;)
Morik eyes the woman suspiciously "Well you know they always say ladies first." he prepares for a fight and proceeds with caution giving the woman a polite gesture

If she still does not move to attack he will toss her the "other potion" "Here you go a free drink on me."

The thief-acrobat moves halfway across the left plank, poised, waiting for Morik to cross.

Morik takes his pole and hits the other plank to the side.
So is this possible and do i need to roll for this?

Yes, no roll. She's on the left plank. You are hitting the right plank off to the side?

Yup testing her acrobatics and trying to knock the plank off balance.

As the thief-acrobat is poised on the left plank, Morik hits the right plank off to the side. It almost falls down the pit. She looks at it, Morik, then moves back to the other side.

"Going to be difficult about this, huh?" she says. "I'm not the one getting timed."

She taps her pole on the floor like a metronome.

Curious about all the ropes you mentioned.... can those be used to get over the pit instead of the planks?
Morik smiles and nods. Then switches to the bow and whatever remains of the arrows takes aim and fires.

Bow Hit[1d20] = 18 arrow dmg[1d6] = 2

Bow Hit[1d20] = 10 arrow dmg[1d6] = 5
I think that is all the arrows that were remaining. Failed to add the +1 to hit on those.

Morik reaches for his bow. The woman leaps into action, lifting her end of the left plank and thrusting it at Morik. The thief barely dodges then fires two arrows. One grazes the thief-acrobat. There is now one plank over the pit.
- Initiative:The Runner [1d6] = 1 vs. Enemy [1d6] = 4
- the ropes and lines are web-like in effect, down the pit about 15'.
- The bow and arrow feathered-ends have tar on them Sticky, -4 to hit.
- Thief-acrobatattack [1d20] = 12

Morik puts the bow away and goes back to the 10' pole, attempting a tar covered attack to the abdomen.

10' Pole[1d20] = 11

Morik considers pole-vaulting, but realizes he wouldn't make the 20' across.
Grognardsw wrote:... a 30'x20' chamber, with no floor but a 20' deep pit over which are two 4" wooden beams running across. The beams are 5' apart from each other. At the bottom of the pit is a web of stringy ropes and lines.

At the other side is a ledge 3' deep which runs the length of the wall. At the north end of the ledge is an open portal into another room, the details of which cannot be seen.

At the other end of one of the beams is a female in tight clothes, a 10' pole in her hands. She smiles, steps forward onto one of the beams, twirls her pole above her head, and cartwheels skillfully on the beam. Quite an acrobat this one, thinks Morik.

well I guess I pictured it very much different .... I thought there was more ways than just the planks to cross the room....
Morik will create his own bungie cord with his rope and spike. using only about 15 feet of his rope....
or is that ever realisitic?
otherwise he will just walk the plank....

You can cut 15' of rope and hang an end over each side the plank, so it would catch the plank if you fell. It won't be bouncy like a bungee cord.

Morik will just try and find a way to get over to the woman walking casually and slowly with a snide smirk.

Morik hangs the rope over the 4 inch-wide plank for safety and begins to cross (Dex. check). The thief acrobat nimbly moves toward him on the plank, twirling her pole for balance. They meet half-way. She swings low at Morik's legs. He feels stinging pain (6 HP damage) and struggles to stay on the plank (Dex. check using 4d6.)
- Intiative TA vs Morik [1d6] = 3, [1d6] = 1 Thief-acrobat wins.
- TA pole on Morik [1d20] = 19, dam [1d6] = 6 Hits for 6.
- Your rope idea does work, it's just not bouncy. It will protect you from the entangling rope lines and allow you to climb back up.

Your pole miss was part of round one. We didn't declare actions for two, but I rolled initiative and did her action. You can take second round action, and also declare for third round.
Thief-Acrobat - Round Two

With his cat-like balance, Morik barely maintains position on the plank. The woman hisses and strikes again with her pole, but Morik blocks it this time.
