Galmit leaves the tavern to search for the lumberjack and spit upon his boots afterwards he will return back to the tavern for another drink and see what other conversation Thorin might share with him.

The Lord Commander Bremen arrives in Idmi D'dum with several knights, a cleric, and an elf, along with a wagon. As the expedition leader, he allows Baxtaw to speak first.

Dram, you wanted to do the talking, right? Good luck! Remember that we have the shield and a wagon load of dwarf heirlooms to butter them up. Plus word of a dead, dwarf eating dragon. That against a corpseless dwarf, a mountain filull of goblins, surrounded by a white dragon and giant statues roaming the woods. :P

Edit:

The entourage arrives with a wagon, most of the contents covered by a drab-colored tarpalin, but at the back, uncovered, sits a large, wooden chest with the Blackhelm shield leaning against it. They are accompanied by a handful of solemn-looking dwarf mercenary-mourners, freshly bathed, and with neatly combed and braided. The dwarfs add an appropriately solemn mood.
Bremen hope his nervousness doesn't show.

The dwarf mourners are to improve our disposition as we present the tale of Dorbeck.

Baxtaw approaches the Dwarven Leader and kneels at the base of his Throne. Lord Duegar we have returned Triumphant in slaying the dragon Scatha, but at great cost. Your nephew was slain while as we searched for the dragon. Ambushed by bunch of scurvy dog faced goblins. In a hail of goblin arrows he gave his life to save mine and I will be forever grateful. I have returned all his belongings and in the chest his share of the treasure. Also in the wagon we returned all the heirlooms we were able to recover. BAxtaw pulls the shield from the cart and holds it out for Duegar to take.

The solemn singing of the pallbearer dwarves makes the town aware of your coming before you even need speak. A great gathering of Blackhelms assembles in the central square, including Duegar, to meet you.

Baxtaw speaks of the fallen and presents the Shield of Thundred, now returned twice without its bearer. Duegar joins the dirge, tears running freely down into his beard as he accepts the wagon beir. Two other kinsmen take the shield re-hanging it in the Tavern in its place of honor.

"You come with honor and word of the honorable death of my kin," replies Duegar at last as the singing ends. "In the name of the great King Drunil, long may he reign under all the North, I thank you. You kept your promise to face the wyrm, have returned the King's Halls to our clan to resume Jarkul's Rule, and show yourselves more honorable than others of human or elf in returning the heirlooms rightfully ours. Tell me, what is it we can do to respect this great honor beyond the suits of armor already given?"

All in the party have Friendly status with the dwarves. Baxtaw and Bemen are each owed a favor. What do you ask for?

Well that worked better than I had anticipated. :D Let's hope Bremen's greed doesn't outpace the generosity of the dwarfs...

Bremen's purposefully maintained, stoic face almost breaks into a grin at the dwarf's words, but he keeps his expression solemn as a show of respect for the Blackhelm clan's loss. He offers his hand. Senechal Duegar, before I make my request, I'd like to express my gratitude for the friendship between King Drunil's people and my own at the White Tower. In honor of that relationship, I'd ask you accept my vassal as an emissary to the King's court. Allow me to introduce Bentley Breissenbeam, of Westport, third-born son of Lord Breissenbeam.

After the introductions are made, Bremen continues. Senechal Duegar, I had hoped to discuss the matter of Scatha's skeleton with you. As it is unlikely to be an heirloom to any dwarf, I had planned to lay claim to it through the Right of Conquest. As my favor, I would ask that your craftsdwarfs recover it, and erect it at the White Tower. Either in the main courtyard (if there is no way to make it resistant to the weather), or perhaps in one of the underground chambers. As part of this, I would ask they fashion the teeth and claws from brass or electrum.

It is much to ask, I realize. But this would stand to remind the Knights of Baudhil of the friendship between our realms. Of the bravery of Baxtaw and company, and of the sacrifice of Dorbeck. I can have Sir Bentley and three other knights accompany you and your kin as you remove the remaining goblins and wargs from your ancestral home. They would then escort your craftsdwarfs back to the White Tower, ensuring their safety.
Bremen is prepare to offer a few gems as well, if needed.

Fingers crossed! :)

Is it okay to post in Hagaseth's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry while this is going on, or should I wait for full resolution?

What do you have in mind? I haven't quite populated Hagwart's just yet...

Senechal Duegar furrows his brow and considers the imposition of his request. Finally he nods. "It is agreed. The bones of the wyrm are yours. It is a fitting return for the honor given."

If you want them to construct a hall to hold it, you need to pay for it at the normal (friendly) rate for construction.

He turns to Baxtaw. "...and you? How do we repay you?"

Perhaps add some special properties to your new guild tower? ArchDuke is paying - if you have the dwarves build it you can brainstorm some special properties from dwarven construction.

Lord Commander Bremen. All who come to the White Tower will know the tale of the slaying of the wyrm, Scatha, and of the bravery of the party, particularly your kind, Dorbeck. When the skeleton if finished, I will host a tournament to celebrate. I hope the King will see fit to send you and your kin. Considering the dilemma of how to protect the skeleton from the elements, Bremen asks to be shown to the willworker, Hagaseth's home.

Baxtaw- Lord Duegar, it would be a great honor if the skilled CraftDwarves would would help in the construction of a keep with a Mage tower for my studies.

Is the "Demon Hole" mission complete yet or close. Did the Archduke discuss with Baxtaw about the Demon Hole?

The Demon Hole mission isn't complete or all that close, unfortuantely. Marullus said that Starbeard might take over DMing that expedition.

I am in favor of putting up your tower either way.

Duegar nods solemnly. "We would be honored to help you with such a project."

Baxtaw- Lord Duegar the goblins and there Wargs now have control of your ancient forge. There were still many heirlooms that lay within that we could not recover. But I believe we weakened there numbers greatly. He pauses for his reply.

I would like to visit your mage tower if possible?

Duegar nods. "The wizard keeps his own counsel, of course. You are more than welcome to discuss with him those things that elves and wizards speak of."

Just post in the other thread.

Lord Commander Bremen makes arrangements for a crew of dwarfs to construct a building large enough to house the skeleton of Scatha.

see private forum for specifics, please.
