The Leap, Planet Amir
The Leap is a slab-like structure embedded in a mesa. Positioned at the edge of the Caliphate's terraformed Green Zone, the air up here is crisp, the mornings often frost-touched.
The inside features stark stuccoed walls and private apartments more like caves than motel rooms.
Ranjiit Adegobye
Accustomed as you are to living on the run, this place and its inhabitants are very familiar. All manner of anonymous individuals arrive at the Leap when there's nowhere to flee--which there literally isn't, unless you have the means to survive the frigid Gray Zone or get offworld.
You find yourself in the Leap's great indoor courtyard, surrounded by villains and victims, smugglers and refugees. There is a quiet trade of services here, mostly the hiring of ships and pilots.
From across the courtyard, you hear a shout. You don't see where it comes from, but soon you see a pair of young men charging your way...
