Chapter 11: Anxiously Contemplating the Hobgoblins!

Borum:

Says, "We may as well head to the camp sight. Nothing more we can do for the halfling."

[GreyWolfVT]

Kormak & Mort:

Mort "Indeed lets move onward, nothing more we can do here."

Kormak looks sad that they did not just gain a new friend but found another victim of war.

[Pulpatoon]

Idonea & Ewat:

Ewat: "Yeah, we should move, but slowly. Ambush seems likely." He redoubles his efforts to keep a lookout on the surrounding woods .

Idonea and Ewat are both now riding with nocked arrows.

[MonkeyWrench]

Maya & Victor:

Maya moves on with the others, she has her composite bow readied with an arrow nocked just in case of ambush.

Victor travels forward as well, still smiling as he looks at the surrounding forest along the road.

[Nordbo]

Lutha Cee & Wolfram:

Lutha stares fearfully at the halfling, quoting Eeknow: "Time...has nine lives" and has his sling loaded on stand by

Wolfram keeps one throwing axe within quick reach. Recently, he seems to have lost interest in Maya completely

[Dizlexus]

Mr. Choe:

Says,"One second please."

He approaches the corpse and pushes it over with his halberd.

If nothing unusual happens, Choe will search the body for clues or information.

Dungeon Master:

Mr. Choe prods the Halfling with his halbeard, which causes the Halfling to fall over sideways.

Nothing happens & the search reveals nothing of value on the Halfling, though, Mr. Choe notices tracks around, that are not the Halfling's.

Perhaps, the Halfling was already searched, you noticed a couple of cut strings hanging off his belt, though you spot his short bow on the ground & arrows still in his quiver.

[Pulpatoon]

Idonea:

Says, "The Keep guards captured a band of halfling bandits just a couple days ago, didn't they? Think this is one of their fellows? Or one of their victims?"

She shrugs, indicating that she is not too invested in the question either way.

[MonkeyWrench]

Maya:

Says, "Whatever the case may be, let's continue onwards. Choe, please mount up."

[GreyWolfVT]

Mort:

Says, "I had thought that we were told the original party that was sent to find the kmarties had brought in a band of halfling thieves.

But yes lets move onward Choe if you would rejoin us that would be great of you."

[Dizlexus]

Mr. Choe:

"So many bandits I can't tell if they come or go . . ." Choe mutters thinking about cut purse strings on a bandit.

He mounts up.

"Onward!"

Dungeon Master:

Sister Opal says to Mort & Party,

"Yes the 1st group, captured Halfing bandits & a human woman with them, i understand they also fought Gnolls in the woods as per what Fr. Tenebaum mentioned."


Ok, looks like Mr. Choe remounts & the party heads to their campsite just north & in the woods, of where the Goblinwater Creek bends towards the Caves of Chaos valley, without incident.

They note the forest here is free of the corrupted thick growth surrounding the Caves valley.

Kormak & Mort:

Kormak recalls the druid that was working in this area "Well it appears the druids may well have been able to remove some of the corruption here. You notice the lack of corruption in the forest of this area?"

Mort nods "You make a point Kormak. Let us hope this is a good omen."

[Nordbo]

Dungeon Master:

Ok, i will take over any rolls, for Nordbo until he gets back!

Borum & Wexley:

Wexley dismounts and begins rubbing down his horse while wispering to it in elvish.

Borum slowly dismounts grumbling about how dwarves shouldn't ride such tall horses.

They both tie their horses off to a tree and stand ready. Wexley with bow and arrow in hand and Borum with hammer and shield.

Dungeon Master:

Cob & Dubricus D'Amberville, dismount, tie their horses to nearby trees, & start to gather firewood in case needed.

Kormak & Mort:

Mort crossbow ready begins a patrol of the area near camp with Kormak in tow.

Kormak two handed sword out patrols the area around camp with Mort.

Dungeon Master:

At this point everyone has their gear ready for hiking into the Caves of Chaos Valley & entering the caves.

Will the path to the caves be like the previous excursion where you entered by following the banks of the Goblinwater Creek?

Will you be entering the same cave you fought the Goblins in?

It is the morning of Tuesday, April 15th now, around 7am.

Borum awakes and begins praying for spells.

Wexley awakes and begins memorizing his spell for the day.
