I sure hope so! That was the basis for my build from the beginning. I conceived Adan as a Human Dex based fighter, mainly a ranged fighter. The Variant Human let me do that better than straight Human so I presented it to JR and he said Adan was okay.

Ok. I considered it. I think I will keep Amistad as he is now but he will roleplay learning towards gaining a feat when he next levels up, probably at this stage looking at the Healers trait.

How much is 'a gold thayler' worth? Is it 1gp or 10? Or more?
I am trying to get a sense of worth. How much 1gp equates to in terms of daily wage.

Amistad has no real idea of what the local economy is, other than a room for three people is one gold coin per night. He also noted coppers and silvers being given for food. Best guess for now - a gold piece is a days' wage for a regular worker.

There's no rule that says you have to take a job that's offered. If you decided to show up at the dock, then that's fine. If not, then you can post other actions as you see fit.

Amistad had posted an in-character action in the tavern to get more info on other potential merchants trading in the area.
Unless Ustasi offers to pay even the minimal 2gp to hire him from North Port for the one extra day, he will not board the ship.
