Mumble once more looks at his sling and at the large foe and makes a pouting face. Having also lost his stick..... the only thing left is bare fists so the gnome sneaks off trying to hide until the snake is dead.

[Zee - Rogue - lvl 0] {hp: 10/10} {AC: 14}
Actions: Jeebus that's a big snake!

Obviously startled by the giant serpant, Zee jumps back. "OOHHWOOWEE!
LAFFY!"

Zee being Zee, he reacts without thinking, Fen in his left hand, ax in his right.
"Cæcus!" The word escapes him as his feet leave the ground, zeroing in, with the crown of its head as his target.

Initiative [1d10] = 9, Attack [1d20] = 3, Hand Axe Damage [1d6] = 3

[Giant Constrictor Snake] (HD: 6) (AC: 14)
Actions: Attacks Laffy

The giant constrictor, lying in wait at the edge of the clearing, patiently waits for an attack of opportunity. Laffy wonders nearby and the snake lunges from its hiding place, with nefarious intent.

Initiative [1d10-2] = 6-2 = 4, Attack [1d20+6] = 4+6 = 10, Bite [1d8+6] = 2+6 = 8 | Grapple [3d6+8] = 14+8 = 22

Summary: serpiente Tango

Laffy, being the spriteful fellow that he is, catches sight of a dull glimmer in the weeds from the corner of his eye. Upon closer inspection he discovers a serpent of large and fangy proportions poised with tensile springiness to pounce upon his person. Laffy zips into action and flies off into the either of night's dark space.

Brodie sees the commotion and lunges deftly with his spear. The snake, having his attention elsewhere, is unable to slither out of reach of the stingy object, and Brodie wedges the tip of his spear between two massive scales. Brodie’s spear tip sends a pang of pain through its body and it quickly forgets about Laffy, turning to see what evil denizen has braved a poke at its scaly hide.

Zee jumps into action. Deftly pulling Fen from his pocket, he shouts a command, "Cæcus!," and charges the snake with a hand axe in his other hand, "OOHHWOOWEE!”

Fen obeys her master, as only she knows how to do, and lights up a 50’ radius globe about her person with the blaze of a thousand suns blinding everyone and everything within a 20’ radius.
Zee, blinded, runs willy nilly into the body of the snake and falls to the ground.

Note: Zee please make a DEX check for each hand to see if you drop Fen and/or your axe. Label one check Fen and the other Axe please. I would choose your next action(s) wisely :)

Crow, Mumble, Brodie, Zee, and the Snake are presently blinded by Fen’s light. They must walk, run, crawl, or otherwise get beyond 20’ of Fen to regain their vision (keep in mind you are blind, so you’ll have to guess at your direction). Once outside of the 10’ radius your vision will return to half normal that round and full normal the next round. Also it might behoove you to think about how constrictor snakes hunt ;)

Crow and Mumble get no chance to take action due to Zee’s quick thinking/action. (gotta love those Kender...Snicker Snicker)

Summary: serpiente Tango 2

Zee, suddenly realizing his mistake, yells out, “PRAESIDIUM! Blind the Snake! NOT US!” while lunging at the snake with an axe in one hand and the other hand over his eyes. His axe makes solid contact and sticks into something springy and tough.

Brodie Screams in optical pain, “Owzy thee brightzz lightzzz hurtzz!!” does an about face, and runs from the light, while Mumble drops to the ground and crawls around aimlessly, searching for a hiding place from the blinding light. Fen receives her command and shutters her light to focus only on the snake. She flies up in its face and bobs around in an attempt to blind and distract it.

A moment later Xirtan takes off running in a random direction. His eyes, no longer blinded by Fen, come into focus just before he crashes into the brush to see Zee and Fen fighting the snake.

Crow takes a few careful steps backwards while switching to his bow. His sight slowly comes into focus to see Xirtan crash into the brush off to one side, Zee grappling with the body of the Giant Snake, Mumble crawling around on the ground aimlessly, and Brodie fleeing for his life.

The Giant Snake is thwarted in its attempt to hunt by Fen and Zee’s tenacious attack and now has an axe firmly lodged in the hind third of his tough scaly tail.

NOTE: Anyone successfully bitten by the snake must make a grapple check to free themselves or become constricted every round thereafter; at which point only your friends can help you.

[Xirtan– Kobold Magic User 1] (HP: 18/18) (AC: 10)
Actions: Runs back to assist Zee

Xirtan, peering out from the brush, decides to assist his good friend Zee with the snake. Now that Fen has stopped blinding everything.

He darts out of the brush and yells, "Keel snake! Keel snake!" and casts a Fireball into the coiling snake.

Initiative [1d10] = 2

Fireball
Evocation [Fire]
Level: 3
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)
Area: 20-ft.-radius spread
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Reflex half
Spell Resistance: Yes

A fireball spell is an explosion of flame that detonates with a low roar and deals 1d6 points of fire damage per caster level (maximum 10d6) to every creature within the area. Unattended objects also take this damage. The explosion creates almost no pressure.

You point your finger and determine the range (distance and height) at which the fireball is to burst. A glowing, pea-sized bead streaks from the pointing digit and, unless it impacts upon a material body or solid barrier prior to attaining the prescribed range, blossoms into the fireball at that point. (An early impact results in an early detonation.) If you attempt to send the bead through a narrow passage, such as through an arrow slit, you must “hit” the opening with a ranged touch attack, or else the bead strikes the barrier and detonates prematurely.

The fireball sets fire to combustibles and damages objects in the area. It can melt metals with low melting points, such as lead, gold, copper, silver, and bronze. If the damage caused to an interposing barrier shatters or breaks through it, the fireball may continue beyond the barrier if the area permits; otherwise it stops at the barrier just as any other spell effect does.

Material Component
A tiny ball of bat guano and sulfur.
