The situation quiets down away from the concert - and the emergency teams take over the direct rescue attempts, the various groups into which the party had splintered, bump into each other in the scrum by the entrance to the inter-level shafts.

There is a general announcement

Citizens and Visitors to Koenig's Rock. The imminent danger to the rock has been dealt with and the saboteurs appear to have fled. Power is reduced to emergency levels and Gravity is thus reduced throughout the rock. Please take care. The Air and Heating Systems remain uncompromised. Please safely make your way to your hotels, residences or emergency stations. An assessment of the effects of this event is being undertaken and the town hall will be open for any required repair contracts in the morning.

This is followed, a moment later by a brief news update hitting everyone's comms.

As the party shuffle forward in the queue, and progress down, the conversations of the others present seem to suggest that the whole event has been received as an insult to the Rock's population. The sketchy details outlined seem to allow for wild speculation as to the perpetrators of the outrage. They are also really annoyed at the curtailed concert and want to know when it will be re-scheduled for! (Even calling to Phoenix for comment)

The delays in transit mean that the call for every security officer to suit-up and head for defensive positions is cancelled.

As they get to the Undertown, the big question is "What Next?"

Sol and his entourage make their way back to the Riches and finally get some rest. In the morning after a light breakfast they don Vacc suits with helmets slung and make their way across the street to the Maas offices to see what's they've heard. Given what happened last night he straps his Accelerator Pistol to the suit in a quick draw thigh holster and leaves the Body Pistol in the room safe. At the belt he keeps the stunner and extra magazines for the pistol.

Sipping mediocre coffee while reading the night dispatches and looking over damage reports he frowns and reads out loud to the room.

"Well this is suspicious timing. Apparently, Horvath Ulorhua-Mann has been engaged as a "fixer" by LSP to "support their bid for the new Imperial Naval contracts" overhauling the 208th fleet. With our Linear Accelerator down LSP suddenly has a big advantage in supplying ore."

Turning to Odo and his staff, "Does Maas have any not public intel on LSP activity in the system or Horvath Ulorhua-Mann?"

As the crowd clears Einar makes his way back to his room to get some rest.

Once rested he has a quick breakfast and heads back to the upper levels carrying his rifle in it's travel case, his pistol in its holster.

First port of call would be the KRPA office if accessible, if not he will report to a security officer and volunteer to assist with any ongoing recovery activity.

The evening remains tense, but nothing happens. The rock gets slowly locked down by the KRPA with the Brotherhood being asked to stand-down for the night so they can take over, fresh in the morning.

After some time of nothing the entire group resigns itself to sleep.

The morning (New Years Day), however, sees things start to open up - with new opportunities. The Engineering Crew from the powerplant are seeking Engineers to aid in the clean up of their spaces. The Environments team are seeking Grav specialists as they have several hundred square metres of Grav Plates to fix. All about the rock, Electricians are sought for domestic issues arising from the power-surges from the unusual power-shutdown.

Giigimka has left a message for Phoenix asking for a midday meeting and Emeline Crozat has left a message for the Brotherhood stating that they should attend her (hospital) bedside ASAP.

Einar finds himself ready to head into the KRPA's offices and try out his Letter of Introduction.

Ike delivered Phoenix safely to the hotel.

“Sorry things fell apart,” Ike said. “You’re safe, that’s the important thing. The fans understand it was beyond your control. I’ll see you around. You have my number if you need me.”

The next morning Ike checked in with the Brotherhood of Solace. They sent him over to
the hospital to meet with Emeline Crozat, who was being treated there.

After a night of working on a song about the happening, Phoenix will call her team and help gathering equipment and getting it ready for shipment.

There is also a general security brief circulated...

• There was an attack on the Rock.
• There were 3 casualties as a direct result of the attack and 48 collateral casualties from the grav failure - Mostly Audience members for Phoenix's concert (including one gun-shot wound) but also one technician and one KRPA security officer (broken nose).
• Power supply of anything over minimum backup has been hit badly - assessment of damage is under way. Gravity is at 50% to save power. Domestic Power is available - as is power for Retail services including Medical and Education (Though the latter are on New Year Break). Other business users are subject to scheduled power outages (But many are on New Year Break)
• An area of the Old Town has had it's grav systems blown by a virus in the grav control circuits. Repairs can be made from stores and are being undertaken now - but this will deplete stores considerably.
• Station Defences were hacked.
  • As the turret fire control and targeting systems are not on the general network this means they were hacked from inside the rock.
  • The camera and airlock management systems are more generally networked but have been thoroughly subverted. They are not yet back on line.
• 22 vessels were struck by missiles fired from the station with varying levels of damage. Many didn't arm as the targets were inside minimum safety range.
• 2 small vessels were stolen.
• 1 starship (registration suspect) is missing and is believed to be that of the attackers.

The LSP security patrol craft has been offered in aid - along with LSP security investigators. They are on route!

The square is closed-off by the KPRA security who seem to be kitted out in full military kit! It has cables stretched across in all directions. Once Andras explains who he is he's admitted, climbs across the distance using a guide-cable and greeted by Thor (The security guard) at the stage. Thor is hooked onto a stanchion and guarding the piles of gear - but bits have floated off - and the square still has various personal belongings (and stage gear) spread across it.Best hook on or we'll be catching you floating off
A grav-technician and helper seem to have a floor-tile up and are working on the field generator control circuitry.

The trip to the KRPA office is interesting. The big emergency doors are slid almost right across - but the manual controls for each are open and there are armed citizens with KRPA armbands at each. The main dock entrance/exit is surrounded by a crowd - and people are being allowed through after careful checking.
Einar successfully persuades the port-guard that his business at the KRPA headquarters is sufficiently useful that they at least let him get to the building under escort. Here, he is left in the queue for the desk-guy as people come and go. The foyer seems packed (no seats left) and the majority of those there seem to be belters. As he arrives, he overhears the current head of the queue: You're sorry my ship was shot? You will be. Yep - I saw the notice and I recall the guarantee. Nowhere did it say that you'd shoot my ship!
Somehow, the guy behind the desk doesn't seem to be coping too well with this crowd of angry miners!

The team at the office have a lot to say on the subject

Lots about LSP. Usual stuff. Minimal pay. Tied up 6-ways contracts. They've their own problems since their gas-giant orbiting base had a magnetic bubble failure and the giant's radiation belt cooked a load of employees and a couple of managers! They need these contracts from the Duke and to fulfil them they need to refine ore. With our driver down, the belters will have to take the LSP price offer and have to pay more in fuel to get it to the refinery. It also puts Maas in a bind. We'll have to buy refined metal at spot not at contracted rates because we're buying their metal made from their ore not that delivered for processing by the mass-driver route. It will cost us more and they'll take the profits while our margins are squeezed.

But they have a less defined view on the Knight

Horvath is the odd thing. Knight - but one of those that wouldn't lift a finger unless it's holding a drinks glass. This LSP thing is relatively new. He's said to have shot a few strikers at Ucella to encourage the others. But his main interest is collecting stuff, people, trophies. I'd bet that the main reason he's here is that Scout Service enquiry. If they look too closely his supply of pretties from the dig will dry up. Or maybe there are too many leaks and too many items flooding the black-market so he's using the scouts to close down the opposition?

Ucella Anderson comes up with one suggestion
If we are purchasing stuff (off the books) as gifts for clients, the Vargr at the Salvage Yard in Koenig is a good source. He may know more.

Nehnya heads off to the powerplant. From her hotel, it's a simple exercise through Leyland. The place is quiet - partly because it's new year and partly because the lifts have KRPA Militia guards. The gate between the residential zone and the powerplant is pulled mostly shut - the controls clearly on local manual override - with the guards preventing access.

Reason for entry they demand.

Through the gap, it is clear that both the main powerplant buildings are no-longer fully enclosed with wall-plates twisted and scorched as if by giant fists punching through. That the door is open suggests that they are at least using Fusion power. That kind of damage on a fission pile would have contaminated the entire rock!

When Nehnya explains she wants to help, the guards brusquely direct her to the Meeting Hall behind her. Contracts are being organised back there. They're still picking over the pieces and no-one goes in without the Crozat's say-so.
