Background:

Her father, Honos, is a war veteran and her mother a Whennir was a camp follower who followed him home after the war. She was their only child and Viscata was treated like the son Honos always wanted. He taught her how to build, farm, and fight. Everything he thought a man would need. He also told her stories which she loved, and would pass on to the other kids her age, with many embellishments. She had many suitors but she said she would only marry a man who could best her in battle. She has since stopped offering that challenge after she almost lost to a large brutish man twice her size. Her mother rarely spoke but taught her the YueQin an instrument from her culture.

Recently a minor nobleman’s son has taken an interest in her. She and her father both realize there is not much they can do if he pursues her. They both feel it is in the family’s best interest to head off on her own.

Appearance:

Tall for most women, she has long black hair, usually kept in a pony tial and deeply tanned skin.
In town she wears bright colors. She also keeps her scimitar and sheath in her instruments case unless she feels danger is imminent. She does wear her dagger and carry her quarterstaff. She has a sheath for her javelins that also fits her quarterstaff if she is not using it.
Traveling she wears more subdued outfit that blends in with the surroundings.

Personality:

Viscata is often smiling and laughing. Life has not been hard, but that is because she listened to the lessons of her parents and worked harder, but also played harder as well. She loves dancing and music both of which she is talented.
