Cleric of St Ygg's.

A stalwart torchbearer whose flame and passion for St Ygg was so cruelly snuffed out while trekking back from the Barrow Moor. He was swallowed by a giant toad (much in the same way that Reuben had been) though he was pulled free of the amphibians jaws of death only to die at the hands and teeth of Deucalion, a man rescued from the Barrow Maze and cursed to be in Ravenous Zombie form.

Foxrell 'gentleman adventurer'.

Of unknown experience. Wears a longsword and dagger. Impeccably groomed. Black shiny boots and formal military style jacket.

He is organising an 'expedition to the Mercian Mound', reputedly a barrow mound that lizard men have besieged or made into a lair. Apparently they regard this particular tumuli with some sacred significance.

Sundance, dark haired Half-Elven mercenary
and mage, contracted initially to the join the Relic Robbers expedition by Eldon and then upon the Magyar Varghoulis mission by Vann Hector.

She wears simple travelling clothes under a leather gambeson and ring mailed skirt. She bares a longsword for defence as well as a Yew shortbow.

She has a specific talent for casting 'Tongues of Fire', (as magic missile) which causes flames to erupt around the head and shoulders of her opponents.

Sidkrake, former borstal inmate, now contracted to Helix Mercenary Guild. He has a spider web tattoo on his left cranium and a spider inked in his right. This was recently imbued to enable him to cast 'Spider Climb' once per day..

He has joined the Golgarth trek to Bogtown. (May 19th).and subsequent treks to Ironguard and the Barrow Mounds.

He is listed as a T2.
Hp 10, AC 5, Studded leather. Carries a longsword and two throwing daggers. (One dagger is silvered, +1/+2 vs lycanthropes).

Also bears hand-held crossbow and thieves tool kit.

Deceased May 20th 1066: torn apart and eaten by zombies in the Nergal oubliette. His last act to sacrifice himself giving time for Gerdal to be rescued.

Labourer turned bodyguard to Gerdal after becoming charmed by her. Worked for a gang hired by Nergal cultist Knievel.

Is a ranger. One of the 'auld guard', frontiersmen who scouted for the Duchy in various skirmishes across the Barrow Moor.

A fur dressed man in his late years, he has a generation of experience in tracking. He operates out of Crooked Yew and is Hernite by faith.

He is a R3.

He wields a longbow and Duchy broadsword.
Once held captive in the village of Bhaz'rad Dur by Bugbears in a 'wicker man' type cage awaiting being made into a sacrificial offering alongside druid Clive until rescued by Dalin.

Resident at Crooked Yew and available for local ranging explorations.

Fresh from the Mercenerary Guild. Having joined the rescue of Sir Dewey from the Sauron Mound, these two veterans were enlisted by Sven to help the delving into the Barrowmaze deep.

'Bucko' Buxstonvale Fotheringhay, of the Fighter class. A balding man with red beard, a penchant for fried food and over comely wenches.

Average stats. Equipped in plated breastplate(AC3 on frontal attacks) over chain mail armour and shield, bearing Duchy broadsword and silver dagger.

AC 2/5, HP 8 saves as F1.
Has 1495xp, 255gp from expeditions.




Yardie, street fighter and one time 'herbalist',
camp aide specialising in Jerk Chicken or Goat Curry and never without a pouch of 'reefers', a relaxing aromatic tobacco with sedative or hallucinogenic side effects.

Wears plated breastplate (AC 3 vs frontal attacks) over rusty chainmail and mailed helmet over dreadlocked hair and wields a Duchy broadsword.
Also equipped with Longbow and quiver (7 normal arrows, 3 phosphorus tipped, 10 silver tipped).

He also wears a 'bronzed death mask' designed as a fierce lion-faced warrior.

Has Moo-Moo, a minotaur skull that helps guide wearers around the Barrowmaze.

May have Orgoth's Spear of Cromm?

Speaks in 'pidgeon' Common or goblin.

AC 3, HP 17 (Con 15, +1hp), saves as F3.

Has 4640xp & 1510gp from expeditions

Subsequently buying himself out of Mercenary Guild contract to freelance as a retainer to the Adventurers Guild.



Both join expeditions as 'Veteran' hires, on 1/2 share xp and 1/2 share treasure.

Latterly Yardie enter the Sarcophagus Baptistry and immersing himself underwater, disappeared in a cloud of blood.

Ricardo & Pasquel

Two half elven hunters met in the Brazen Strumpet Tavern. After an Augury concerning their futures, the pair joined the Snake-men expedition with Raust, Gerdal and Isvand.

Currently both are if the common Fighter class who excel in archery though Pasquel may choose to later follow a religious vocation.

Both are dressed in simple leather garb and equipped with basic Yew longbows and a sword sidearm.

Ricardo: AC 6, HP 8, saves as F1. (Dex 16, +1 to hit, -2AC)

Pasquel: AC 6, HP 7, saves as F1. (Dex 16)

Both have +669xp from Exploration & Ecdysis expedition.

Piggott and Eddery.

Two torchbearers from the Mercenary Guild, seconded to assist the Climate Crisis: Sacred Grove expedition team.

They are covered financially by Osen the guildmaster as thanks for the safe rescue and return of other captive Mercenaries. They will be allocated a 1/2 share each of any trove purse if they survive but gain no XP as base level hirelings.

They are equipped to a basic level as functional 1st level fighters in leather armour and each carries a backpack of expedition supplies.

Piggott: Leather gambeson AC8, HP8, saves as F1. Longspear (d8), short sword.

Eddery: Leather gambeson and wooden shield AC7, HP8, saves as F1. Broadsword, javelins x 3.



sadly both Piggott and Eddery were slain during the Defilement & Sacred Groves expedition.

Patra-patra , a member of a neanderthal tribe, rescued from the Orphidian Caves.

Bitten by the Orphidians, she seemed resistant to their lycanthropic virus and was tied to a totem pole in the caverns.

Rescued by the Exploration & Ecdysis expedition, she is currently in Helix.

Stats and abilities currently unknown. Does not speak common tongue.

Patra-patra talks, incessantly, especially if coaxed with extra ales which after half a mug go to her head. Her talk centres around the trauma of kidnap by the Orphidians who raided her home 'in the caverns of the exiles in the hills in the wilderness far far away'. Her reference is she thinks her people were exiled, all her people are albino, so this is not a genetic disorder but a common racial feature. She has infravision, common to those who dwell underground. She likes the warm sun but it blinds her and gives her headaches. She views Gerdal as some kind of shaman type medicine woman, perhaps like her own mother or other matriarchs in her community.

In the days in Helix, it is quite overwhelming. Sights, sounds, smells; thinks she hasn't seen before. (Alastar's buttock tattoo, horses, taverns and "girly' stuff like trinket blink, perfumes and hit baths). She has gone wandering, like a lost soul at times. Following various scents like the abattoir of Clive the butcher. She is terrified of the graveyard, insisting wisemen would burn the dead and you are all living in the edge of a zombie apocalypse. She doesn't like the church bell. She catches fish by hand in the Carp Pools better than any angler, which she eats raw.

Her language adds in some elvish words, but these are generally cussed out and express perhaps elves had enslaved them as one point.

A 2nd level Ranger hired from the Mercenerary Guild to accompany the Survey & Survivors expedition.

A 'wildling' woman who follows Herne rituals, bearing a Yew longbow.
