We'd need to look carefully at the range on the helicopter. 2000km plus loiter time seems a lot.

A recon seems a good idea, and that professor seems a good contact too

I don't see a time-related need to panic into heading out blind. The more we know, the better chance we have of getting back.

Also, we may have a better idea of the forces behind the forces that clashed in front of us. Those thugs didn't necessarily pick that guy at random. We can also see what happened to them...lawyers and out? If so, who provided the lawyers?

I've been pretty busy with RL these days and not as active as I'd hoped to be.

It will probably be just the two of you and realistically longer stretches between posts for me.

If that's OK I'm happy to game on otherwise will put it to bed.

I can do at least once a week if that's enough to keep interest. I may be able to do more but will just depend on work and travel schedule.

We do have a vacancy if you know someone who'd like to join and is interested in 1977 Traveller.

Have them join the site if they aren't members and message me and I'll add them. They can either continue with Rando or roll up someone new.

Thanks and hoping to shake off the collective cobwebs

My work schedule went nuts so probably good we had some forced downtime. I will do my best to keep to the every third day post but reality may be once or twice a week if things get wacky. I am in another game as a player but I find it easier to react than think up new so don't be too hard on me if you see a post there but not here.

I think we are down to three players

Active (I hope):
Thumper - Dimitri (ex Navy)
Dongriffiths - Alphonse (sword wielding, streetwise yet polite former Merchant Spacer)
Tamerlaine - Samantha "Sam" (former Scout, well maybe inactive reserves...) Welcome Aboard!

Totalguest - Terry (former Scout, I'll see if he's still around but it's been quite a while since we've heard from him)

Backworld Traveller has left the game and asked me to NPC Rando

My initial thoughts are (assuming no one minds too much) is to handwave in Samantha as the replacement Terry and just assume she's been with the group since the beginning. The major difference is that Sam is in the que for an obsolescent ship but hasn't received official notice yet from the Scout service on where to collect. There is a Scout base 3 parsecs from Port Royal at Maatonte, but it's not on an established space lane so no direct route there.

Hi all, sorry for the long pause.

Between work and lower case t "travelling" I'm not finding the time to keep up with a regular schedule. I'm not sure how soon that will change in the short term. Case in point, I'm typing this heading to the airport. I don't want to leave you hanging mid fight but also can't really commit to regular updates like I wanted to. In fairness to everyone's time, I think probably best to call it quits unless everyone is totally fine with my erratic posting schedule.
