Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
Oh I loved the books with Fizban in them he tried casting feather fall and the room filled with chicken feathers. I also like how they mark wizards evil wear black robes, good wear white robes, neutral wear red robes. Granted this is all related to the 3 moons and the 3 gods of magic in DragonLance. Still a handy system for everyone else around.

Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
Dragonlance was cool. The modules tended to be too scripted for me, but many of the concepts and the world building was cool for sure.

Crazy stuff!
Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
Have we decided on a rolling method, standard 4d6 drop lowest and arrange or do you have something else in mind?

Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
I'm going to allow any of the roll methods that are in the PHB and Player's Option S&P book. Player's choice.

Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
Interesting I will look at the players option S&P, not familiar with it.
Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
so which method can we use from S&P?
There are methods 7,8,9, 10

I haven't read everything yet but I like the traits and disadvantages in that book. Similar to the advantages/disadvantages in Top Secret SI.
Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
Didn't even look that far to be honest,
I think this is the book with spell points which I found absurd , but I'm old school heh.

Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
Spell points are either in Skills & Powers or the Spells & Magic Player's option book. I didn't allow/add Combat & Tactics to the mix I find for me it will add a level of complication/confusion in combat scenarios.
As stated You the player may decide what roll method you wish to use. I'm being very open about it. That and I am curious to see if anyone diverts from the standard method or if everyone just sticks to what they normally use.
If any of the methods requires the DM to give you options tell me that is the method you have chosen and I can oblige.

Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
I am looking at the skills & powers book, thought that was the right one anyways. There are some interesting methods. As a horrible roller, method VII or X look good. The only thing that makes me hesitate is every now and then I pull off a great set of numbers (Egon in your Wizards Basement game is the best set I have rolled on here for sure).
Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
I am interested in method 7. 75 points to allocate between the six attributes.
You add and subtract the racial bonus/penalty after allocation right? Just to clarify before I start.

Greys Campaign.
Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
That is how I read it. Most likely the method I will use.
Re: Pre-Game Planning Discussion
I have a few ideas bouncing around. Do we have a level range decided yet as they may influence it?
