The Song of Iluvatar (Character Creation Q&A)

#1 Post by Old Duergar »

Here we can discuss all things related to the game's character creation.

I will answer questions and post the relevant information in this thread as we progress.

Feel free to post your questions and organise with your fellow players on roles/stats/skills/trait, or anything else pertaining to your builds.

I would also like you, besides your mechanical build, to incorporate your background in your character sheets, aka:
1) How come your characters find themselves to Rhudaur in these turmoil-ridden years of the Third Age.
2) Your connection to the Dúnedain Lord Angbor in the Ettenmoors, whose keep will be the starting stage of our game.

My character came to be in Rhudaur by a series of unfortunate events.

Since leaving his home and trying to find his way to Rivendell he has had a number of unfortunate incidents whereas he has had to avoid groups of bandits, and evil creatures. This has led to him taking an unwanted path towards rivendell. eventually his travels having taken so long he had to approach a group of men who looked to be well kitted for travel and ask them to assist him. At this point they offered for him to join their group and travel back to their keep. During the journey they discovered that he has a vast knowledge and that he has been trying to find some way of countering the evil trying to take control of their lands. They deemed him worthy enough to introduce to their lord.

Thank you all for your character sheets, some solid background ideas to be found there.

Once Rusty posts their character sheet and background, we are good to go.

Meanwhile, I will be posting some background information & the game's guidelines so we can get in the mood.

So, a Dwarven wanderer, a Rohirric warrior and healer of man and horse alike, a Fallohide rune master and a native Rhudaurim Hillman ranger. A very interesting gathering of PCs. Awaiting on Samwell's PC too.
