I know of who you speak, I remember the gossip when they entered town. When they left a few days ago the exited the south gate, but I know they did not speak ot the captain nor tell any of the guard their plans. This must have something to do with the commotion at the temple today. People are saying a fight broke out in the priests internal area.

Sarin unsure if it matters to admit this to the guard "Yes we were there and helped but yes some evil being teleported into the inner sanctum of the church. We helped fight off as many as we could the church has many injured and fallen as well. You might have some guards injured or dead as well. They all fought bravely."

Sarin shrugs and heads towards the south gate to see if anyone knows anything there..."Always fun until an evil being teleports. Ah well anyway back to trying to track someone elses footsteps."

You arrive at the southern guard tower, it is built exactly to resemble the other tower.

Sarin looking for any guards nearby will ask "Do you know which way the adventuring group went that left through here maybe 4 or so days ago? They mention where they were going?"

I remember them, couple of real big fellas with them very heavily armored.

All I remember was overhearing them talk about going down the hill to find a good fishing spot.

Sarin "Hmm well ok is there a good fishing spot south of here? Or any other settlements?" he asks.

there are a number of ponds and lakes around the hills, also a number of small hamlets. i think they just headed down to the bottom of the hills and were going to look for a spot. they seemed to be adamant about going the full days travel and not near town.

"I think it best we rest for the night and maybe check on the temple in the morning. Perhaps they will have some word or something. If not then we can head south and keep asking at each village. What do you think?"

Sarin "I just find it odd these people didn't talk to anyone they just left talking about fishing. Talk about wasting out time. Lets just hangout in town and see if these people return I guess."

You get a room at a local inn and the night passes uneventful, next morning you can regain any spells.
