According to dwarven chronicals, the area around the Yetzin valley was settled millenia ago by the great warrior-king Hargrim Ironhand. A legendary figure. Hargrim was a dwarf of Immense physical strength and outstanding charisma who led his followers through the Goblin-infested Vaults mountains and carved out a realm in Yetzin. Known as the Halls of Kadar-Gravning. Hargrim fell during the Elf Wars, dying a hero's death at the battle in the Loren forest which Dwarven ballads remember as Hargrim's Last Stand.

Hargrim Ironfist is the Great, Great, Grandson of the Legendary Dwarven hero. He was born in Karak a Karak in the house of a Runesmith. He was raised to breath the power of the forge and trained as a warrior through out his life. He is on his way to Nuln to leave his mark on the world and seek adventure. He is strategic and calculating but hates Chaos more than anything. He left his home with nothing but the clothes on his back and the weapons in his hands. He seeks to battle Chaos in any way possible.

Eva is a young, short but striking woman. She was born in Wuppertal in Averland, but was orphaned at an early age. She escaped the Shallyan orphanage and ran with other street orphans for a number of years, using her quick wits and her innocent looks to scrounge for food and shelter. She was recruited by a local gang and set to escort visitors to the town and local nobility seeking a run on the wild side to places run by the gang. However, after an unfortunate incident involving a local noble, a pig and one of the gang's gambling dens, Eva decided it was time to make herself scarce and seek her fortune on the roads and rivers of the Empire.
