Alright, let's give it one more honest effort and see if we can get the ball rolling. If I find that it's taking me more than c. 1 week to handle each campaign/battle turn, then I might shelve it until the semester's over.

Well, the inevitable has happened. After a lot of thought, I've decided I have to pull the plug on all of my games until life slows down a bit. If this game gets revived again I'll PM those who were involved to see if there's interest in coming back.

Thanks for playing, and sorry to shut things down mid-skirmish! In the end, I think this would have been a pretty decisive battle if everyone decided to pitch in without retreating—the opponent had deployed almost entirely right there, with 24 cavalry and 12 camelry racing up the road, plus 40 foot (50/50 dwarves and hobbits) crawling down the wilderness ridge to attack from the east. Only one tiny unit of human skirmishers were tucked away far to the north, my guess being to act as a decoy.
