Re: Character Creation
Guess that is my call as well since it doesn't really indicate anything along those lines in the adventure. It only tells me how to make it "More Challenging"
I will roll for each of you a money roll of what you would have from your last "job/adventure" fair enough?

Re: Character Creation
Not sure about wizards in 5e. It looks like they have a list of known spells, 6 at 1st level, 2 each level after. It seems like those are fixed, or can they swap out like other casters?
Also, since we're starting at 7, is there a mechanism for simulating any other spells that may have been learned in his previous adventures? Similar to treasure gained?
Finally, we're using the list Scot gave of AL treasure. Is there anything in addition to that? And he gave a list that is for halfway to 8th. We're not using that, correct?
Whew. Sorry for the questions.

Re: Character Creation
I copied the part that matters for 7th level as you are not half way to 8th level. Maybe that helps. But so far no not adding anything additional as of yet accept as i said i will likely roll a 1d10 x 10 or something to represent the earnings each of you earned from whatever your character "last did"Scott308 wrote:So, based on the Treasure Points a character would earn in AL, you could get with everything you earned from Tier 1:With your Tier 2 Treasure Points, if you advance far enough to just reach 7th level, you would again have the exact same list above, or one of the following:
- Any combination of two of the following:
- Bag of Holding
- Chime of Opening
- Eyes of Minute Seeing
- Potion of Greater Healing
- Potion of Superior Healing
- Spell Scroll- Cantrip
- Spell Scroll- 1st Level
- Spell Scroll- 2nd Level
- Spell Scroll- 3rd Level
- Spell Scroll- 4th Level
- Spell Scroll- 5th Level
Or one of the following:- Cloak of Elvenkind
- Slippers of Spider Climbing
- Rod of the Pact Keeper +1
- Wand of the War Mage +1
- Shield +1
- Weapon +1
- Portable Hole
- Potion of Supreme Healing
- Spell Scroll- 6th Level
- Spell Scroll- 7th Level
- Spell Scroll- 8th Level

Sounds good to me. I was thinking upgrading my hand axes to javelins and some additional supplies etc.

Re: Character Creation
I figure the best method is either a 1d10 x 10 or just a 1d100 straight up. I can roll once and that is what you all get or i can roll for each of the 6 pc's I'm open minded either way if you all want to vote on it that's cool too. I like empowering the players.

Re: Character Creation
Doesn't matter to me. I am not rolling though, I seem to be having bad luck with the roller in every game right now.
Re: Character Creation
Drex's hit points
Hit Points [6d8] = 35+22
6d8 +8 for Max First Level and +14 for Con = 22 so 35 +22 = 57
57 HP
I updated Beyond. I am not sure about how to pick the Magic items. Are we using Money or some specific method?
Thanks,
Chris/Drex

Re: Character Creation
if you read what was quoted from Scott above it says you get to pick 2 of the following or one of the following in the Tier 1 then in Tier 2 select 1 of the following. No money is being given to "buy" magic items it's something your PC earned or found on previous adventures. At least that is how I am seeing it.

Re: Character Creation
I see everyone is rolling HP on here. My hp was rolled in D&D beyong is that incorrect.
Luxor will take a Bag of Holding,Potion of Greater Healing, & a Weapon +1
I also have a question about coin and basic equipment. Ed are you saying to choose one or the other. If so, I don't understand being a adventurer of 7th lvl would not the PC have attained both by this level.

Re: Character Creation
The payout that was rolled for everyone was 50 gp feels kinda low but the 1d100 roll was even lower so would you rather take 15 gp or 50 pg? The 1d10x10 came to 50 gp the 1d100 roll was 15.
Take whichever you wish.

Re: Character Creation
Rolled HP for my character. Got a little below average on my roll.
HP: [6d8+22] = 21+22 = 43
Also, don't forget that if you don't want anything from your starting equipment, you can sell it for half price. That may get people a few extra coins, especially if you pick up a magic weapon and don't have need/ want another. It does seem that by 7th level we should pretty much have any basic mundane stuff we want, although I'll admit that there really wasn't much I needed to pick up, and did it pretty cheaply. Other than the Potions of Healing, anyway.
Other than the extra magic item, I'm pretty much ready to go. Depending on what I end up getting, it may make me reconfigure a bit, but shouldn't be too bad.

That's what I did, but it looks like Dram rolled for all 7 levels.

Re: Character Creation
Alright I thought most of you did. Mark buddy lol if you are content with what you rolled then just keep it I don't need to make you re-roll it if you are fine with that HP count.
So this game will be interesting as it does have the potential for a dragon or two and a lot of lizardfolk. I posted the first part i know it feels a little short but that's how it starts the game out.
