Made it back with all my fingers in tact. Just my ass hurts from riding 4 wheelers all weekend.

Since they can only be used once per day, I will assume that you picked them up after the last time they were activated.Storm11 wrote: i can't remember where Patsy or Edina are.

Hi OM,
Can Blodget safely hit Yesorkh with a sling bullet, or does that fall under "firing missiles into a melee?" Thanks.

Yes.
As far as I'm concerned, she isn't in melee unless someone rushes in and attacks her with a melee weapon.

Man, those bracers must be broken. Lots of 1's and 20's.greyarea wrote:Trotter curses under his breath and restrings his bow. He tests the new string on Yesorkh.
Bow w bracers of archery & dex bonus attack [1d20+3] = 20+3 = 23, dmg [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4
Yep, works just fine.

Ok, cool.tkrexx wrote:Nope. No logical way to explain this off.(your argument better be convincing)
I try to use a "common sense" approach when adjudicating illusions, but I really wasn't sure about this one. I know the name shadow monster evokes the idea of them being insubstantial, but if they can attack and cause damage, I think that they must have some sort of mass to them. Especially due to their large size.
Very cool ideas though!
Re: OOC III
I'm of the same mind, as before the Dragon was used to partially negate the mass gravity of a arctic worm. Hence the lack of logic in squeezing them thru a tiny door! As I said, well played, very tactical, and good call.

I know it doesn't really matter since this is a oneshot, but I believe there are still items in the treasure kitty that haven't been used.tkrexx wrote:Mira is still glowering at the tiny portal and hissing as Xano comes close. The dark Mystic throws open her tome and again recites. She reaches to touch her Elven companion.
Invisibility.
She flies, you do not. Wait for your time.

I've never seen a group that was this disinterested in treasure.

Re: OOC III
I don't see anything in the description about reducing or protecting from magical cold.greyarea wrote:OOC: I'm going to argue that his Boots of the North should at least somewhat alleviate the cold damage.
I am all ears however, if you have a differing opinion about it. Anyone know the temperature of magical cold?
Re: OOC III
It's your call as DM, and Trotter is still alive (barely but still able to battle), so it doesn't necessarily matter, but since the Boots protect from cold and it's a cold attack, maybe some buffer.
If we were playing face-to-face, this is when I'd offer to refill the DM's drink. "Need more chips?"

Re: OOC III
It would be weird if having something that protects against cold doesn't protect... against cold
Greys Campaign.

Re: OOC III
I'm still not completely sold. Again, this is not normal cold, it is magical cold.
I would love some chips, though.
Tell you what......
I will give it some thought and if anyone has a convincing argument about it in the meantime, I am definitely willing to listen.
(it might not matter anyway in a round or two)
