Hamish Willpower Check: [1d6] = 2, [1d6] = 6, [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5
Wary that as his first impression is this has to be a trap cautiously and expecting something to strike from anywhere looks everywhere as he slowly walks in.

Summary Post - The players Barely Roll High Enough So The DM Can't Have Any Fun!

Lucas joins the others, the houses effect washing over him as well...

DM Roll Lucas Willpower: [1d6] = 5, [1d6] = 6, [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6

Lucas looks to the group as their bodies slump for an instant before they take control of themselves, no such ill effects take hold of him however. With a curious look Lucas follows Aedilberct and Hamish as they make their way down the hall, the mage wielding his wand and a candle that he retrieved from a nearby table. As the trio make their way down the short hallway Aedilberct speaks up in a cautious and low tone, "Something seems off here guys. It feels...Something isn't right." His remark is met with nods of agreement, Hamish squinting his eyes at the very walls themselves, not trusting a single part of the supposed safe house. As they make their way to the first door in their path, a simple wooden door that is closed, Aedilberct looks to the dwarven warrior, "Can you assist me Hamish?" As the mage keeps his wand at the ready Hamish begins to open the door. The door slides open easily, without making any sound, and the flickering flame of the candle begins to flow into the crevice, lighting more as the door opens.

At first glance from the doorway the room appears to be a nicely furnished bedroom, the candles soft light picking up the queen sized comfortably looking bed as well as the silhouette's of different objects, such as an end table, dresser, and what may appear to be a body length mirror; More cannot be revealed without bringing additional light into the room.

Woah! Lucas is one focused dude. Rolled a straight 17!

(Aedilberct) [Defense: 11][AR: 0] (HP: 25/30) (Mana: 22/29)
Action: Remains cautious

Aedilberct carefully pushes the candle past the door jam, remaining in the hall, in an attempt to light the room further and acertain if there is anything that might pose a threat within. He places his wand hand on Hamish's shoulder for support and to keep him from going too far in. "There are too many unknowns here Hamish. I do not wish to loose any more compatriots this day." Aedilberct squints trying to get a better view of the room. If the door is not fully open he will push it slowly with a boot. As he does so he will whisper loud enough for Lucas to hear, "Stay on guard. We are few in number."

How did Aedilberct come to be in charge of this expedition anyway? heehee.

If I am not mistaken I believe our mission/job/contract is to aid the town of Vintiver, some way off still, to resolve an issue with many villagers dissapearing. I believe part of our job would be to get at the strange dissapearance of these small farmers as part of that contract even though we haven't yet arrived at Vintiver.

Does that sound about right?

(Lucas) [Defense: 12] [AR: 4] (HP: 38/38)
Action: Ets (not eats) his Kibble

Lucas nods his bald head, the candle light flickering on the dull shine of his forehead, and gives a thumbs up. He eases his back against the opposite wall from the door, pulls one of his knives, and keeps an eye on both directions while Aedilberct and Hamish inspect the room in case something should try to sneak up on him. As he waits he pulls a few bits of kibble from his pocket and munches on them, holding each one up to the dappled candlelight, inspecting it for some reason, a reason he himself isn't even quite sure about. With a shrug he pops each one into his mouth and looks both directions before eyeing the next piece.

Summary Post - The Cautious Group and the Brave Candle, A Children's Tale

As Aedilberct carefully pushes the candle into the room, his other hand placed upon Hamish's shoulder, the light in the room quickly invades more of the darkness. The once dark images portrayed by the flickering flame are given real shape, revealing a couple of end tables, a dresser, the bed as before but now sporting a flower detail to the sheets, and a few smaller chests with child-like drawings on them.

As the flame reveals more of the room the ever cautious mage speaks to his companions, first warning of caution to the longest companion he's had since arriving to this place, Hamish, "There are too many unknowns here Hamish. I do not wish to loose any more compatriots this day." and then adding a short but important point for the young, bald headed, thief, "Stay on guard. We are few in number." Hamish, being the first one to respond, grips his axe handle tightly as his eyes scan the quickly illuminating room and surrounding hallway, "Aye. I don't wish ta die today friend."

Lucas, the young thief with a penchant for animal feed, stands guard in the hallway as the other two remain every vigilant. Lucas bides his time by snacking on some brown rectangular animal feed chips, the small container that housed them revealing the manufacturer's brand name, Scooby-Snacks.

Actions!!!

Oh, and roll me a perception check! This one is an easy one, but you REALLY don't wanna fail it!!
