Introduction: Into The Caves

You have dreamed of this day your whole life. The day when you would leave home to become an adventurer, quite possibly a mighty hero of renown. Your home is a mere spec of dirt surrounded by a scraggly woods. You’ve heard rumors of monsters and strange creatures but they were mostly tales from the elders, children’s stories. Recently, however, you’ve heard rumors of a bandit pillaging other larger towns nearby; stealing, killing, and terrorizing lone individuals and small innocent parties. You ask around and eventually discover the bandit may be hiding out in one of several caves within walking distance of your home.

Packing up your newly acquired adventuring gear you set out for the caves determined to prove your worth. The sky is covered with scattered clouds and the wind is blowing mildly. The sun breaks free occasionally and warms you gently. After a three hour journey you arrive at one of the three known cave entrances set in the side of a low cliff and surrounded by scrub and trees. It looks dark and ominous but you notice a few track nearby and some of the branches covering the entrance are broken unnaturally.
