The river that runs by Caer Brennau is the Cotmonyn, which runs from the north to the southwest. The body of water to the south is the Tarian Sea.

The Map is a bit low rezzy but you should be able to see that Caer Brennau, is located to the north of the peninsula in the north of the Tarian sea on the left of the map:
