Create characters according to the OSRIC rules, 4d6 drop the lowest, arrange as desired. Max hp 1st level.

Magic item allocation: +5, +3, +1 or +4, +3, +2, one each, one additional major magic item (no artifacts), 1d4+1 minor items, 1d4+1 potions, 2 scrolls or 1d4+1 if a spellcaster.

Mages apply an Int bonus similar to Wis to a mana calculation. Mana is 2d6 + bonus at 1st level and 1d6 + bonus thereafter. Spells are memorized as usual but they are cast using mana, 1+1 per level (cantrips cost 1 mana and UA's cantrips will be added to OSRIC for this game), no "fire and forget."

For example, Alifair's mana pool is 61 and she wants to cast Dimension Door, which she's memorized. That will cost 5 mana, leaving her with 56 mana.

Clerics deal in miracles, not spells and they cast at the of their god. The more capricious and fickle the god the less chance of a successful miracle. It's a DM roll and clerics are usually successful.

Unconscious at 0, death at -10. Bleeding commences at 1hp/rd after the loss of 1/2 hp total. Binding wounds stops bleeding and restores 1hp.
