Re: Fifth Expedition

Approximately 200 alcoves.

There are bones in each one.

Re: Fifth Expedition

Beyond is a 20-foot square area, dusty, with maybe 200 square burial alcoves. With the door open, Gunnar can smell silver within.

Re: Fifth Expedition

Okay then, westward ho!

The passage goes 30 feet, and then there is a door to your left. Immediately thereafter, there is a door to your right. Ten feet later, the passage opens into a larger area. The smell of copper seems to be coming from directly ahead.

Re: Fifth Expedition

Not that he can tell. In fact, nothing seems to be moving in there now. There's just a wet patch of stone on the floor where HP was standing.

Re: Fifth Expedition

Well, HP can certainly try to scurry back, but as he does so, two things happen. First, bad luck strikes him, and he feels a sharp pain in his right ankle as it turns beneath him, causing him 1 point of Agility damage and reducing his speed by 5 feet. Second, the thing lashes at him again. It looks ...

Re: Fifth Expedition

As HP is taking a quick glance at the empty-seeming alcoves, part of the stone on one of the alcoves lashes out like a serpent. 8 + 4 = 12. The stone-like lash barely misses HP.

Re: Fifth Expedition

From the general appearance of the corridor - dust and cobwebs - it is a long time since any has walked these halls. You see no sign of tracks. The hallway goes east 30 feet, with a bricked up arch at the end of that length, to the right, and then enters a 20-foot square room with many burial alcove...

Re: Fifth Expedition

Looking to the east, the passage goes at least 30 feet. At the end of that range, there appears to be a bricked-up arch to the right.

Looking to the west, the passage goes at least 30 feet, disappearing into darkness.

Re: Fifth Expedition

You walk down until you near the archway. Beyond, you can see a corridor travelling east to west, forming a T-shaped intersection with the corridor you are in. Gunnar can smell both silver and copper coming from the area beyond the archway.

Re: Fifth Expedition

The door opens with a groan, as its rusty hinges move for the first time in months? Years? Beyond is a dark passage, going south. Thirty feet or so from the door, there is a dark archway.

Everyone, please make a Luck check (1d20, result equal to or under Luck succeeds). Thank you.

Re: Fifth Expedition

Daryll sees before him a seemingly empty space, 20 feet square, extending to the left. On the northern part of the left wall, there is another entrance. The area is thick with dust and cobwebs, but there are clearly bootmarks as of someone going to the other exit and back again. there are clearly b...
